Opposition to cover only one tenth of election commissions
The campaign on nomination of representatives to the precinct election commissions, which are to count votes at the Presidential elections on December 19, has started, informs Radio Liberty. Opposition is going to nominate it's representatives to just one tenth of the commissions. Such representation leaves no opportunities to control counting of votes all over the country, but allows to make conclusions on how democratic the electoral process would be. According to the electoral schedule, nomination of representatives to the precinct commissions is to be over by October 31. Local councils and executive committees are to form 6390 precinct commissions at joint sessions by November 4.
The campaign "For Free Elections" coordinates the process of nomination the opposition representatives to the commissions. The campaign includes 14 political parties and public associations, namely, the left party "Fair World", BPF, UCP and others.
