“Orsha pillow fight” to take place despite Minsk City Executive Committee’s prohibition
A pillow fight dated for the battle of Orsha will take place on September 8. The place and time are still kept a secret. A youth association “Historica” organizes the action this year.
Minsk City Executive Committee has refused the organizers of the action. “Historica” suggested four possible places for the Pillow Fight but officials were not satisfied with the variants. Only the application for the 50th October anniversary park has not been either rejected or accepted.
The action has been approved by the Ministry of Culture and the ideology department of Minsk City Executive Committee. The process stopped in the last instance – the deputy head of Minsk City Executive Committee Mihail Tsitsyankou. The founder of the action Andrei Kim has informed about it.
Kim: “Mіhaіl Syarheyevіch Tsіtsyankou said that he didn’t give a damn about agreements with other authorities. He added that he did not like the action and considered it to be bad, so it would not be organized”.
Andrei Kim is not among the organizers of the action this time. Officials said that his absence was one of the terms for getting permission to conduct the action.
