Orthodox cross installed on graves of people shot near Homel

The local authorities initiated the installation of an Orthodox cross in the place of mass graves of people repressed and shot not far from Homel. Let us remind you that the graves of shot people were found by the Ministry of Defense in May.
It was officially announced that the people could have been victims of fascists. But civil activists claimed that the people were shot by PCIA before the war. Witnesses were found among local inhabitants.

Experts did not manage to find out who were the people buried there and when they were shot.

The installation of the cross was initiated by Homel District Executive Committee. It was sanctified by an Orthodox priest. A commandant, the deputy head of the District Executive Committee and members of the BRUY were present at the ceremony.
