Observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Council of Europe said on Monday that the Sunday's parliamentary elections in Russia did not meet the European standards.
«We think that the elections did not meet the criteria accepted in Europe. Therefore, we cannot call them free", Goran Lenmarker, the head of the mission of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly told reporters.
Luc van der Brande, the head of the mission from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, said there was no real division of power in Russia, reports gazeta.pl
