PACE rapporteur may cancel visit to Minsk
Italian MP Andreo Rigoni who serves as the Special Rapporteur on Belarus for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is likely to cancel his visit to Minsk, if the authorities in Belarus continue impeding the opposition activists to take part in the European March on October 14 in Minsk, according to Anatol Liabedzka, the chairman of the United Civil Party.
Andreo Rigoni was scheduled to visit Belarus on October 17 in order to meet with the government officials and the representatives of the opposition.
The Belarusian government denied visa to another PACE member, Christos Purguridos who authored a report about the political disappearances in Belarus, reports Charter'97.
