PACE rapporteur to watch Minsk rally from Strasbourg
Andrea Rigoni, the Special Rapporteur for Belarus at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, will not come to Minsk to attend a protest action by entrepreneurs due on February 18. Rigoni was invited to come by Aliaksandr Makayeu, the acting chairman of the Coordination Council of Belarus's Sole Entrepreneurs. Makayeu told the European Radio for Belarus as follows:
“He (Rigoni) is writing that he will not be able to make it. He was notified too late (10 days), and he will be busy in Italy. But he will watch closely the rally of entrepreneurs and will be happy to have contacts with representatives of the entrepreneurship movement”.
However, entrerpeneurs are not worried that they will have to protest in the absence of Andrea Rigoni. They are quite happy that they have established a contact with him, says Aliaksandr Makayeu.
