Participants of All-Belarusian Congress invited to square on December 19

Policemen detained five youth activists near the Palace of the Republic in Minsk. They tried to meet participants of the All-Belarusian Congress to invite them to the evening action on December 6 near the railway terminal and to the Square on December 19.
One of the participants of the action, Mihail Pashekvich, has told Euroradio that they were stopped literally 2 meters away from the entrance to the Palace of the Republic. They were detained by employees of security agencies in plain clothes. Policemen and the President’s security service joined them later.

Pashkevіch: "An employee of the President’s security service contacted someone with the help of his portable transmitter and said: give the materials to us, we will hand it over to the President’s assistant. He was surprised to see that we took out small invitations instead of huge sheets of paper- there was an invitation to come to Minsk Railway square on December 6 on one side and to the Square on December 19 – on the other side!”.

The activists were let off after the conversation. Pashkevich says he was accompanied by members of security services in plain clothes until he got on a subway train - they wanted to make sure that he left.
