Photo fact: ‘Skullcap’ on Belarusian NPP

Builders have installed the upper part of the safety cover of the reactor building in the power unit #1 at the Belarusian NPP in Astravets District. The so-called ‘skullcap’ was installed successfully, sputnik.by reports.

Belarus decided to replace the reactor of the Belarusian NPP after it had touched the ground because of a crane failure in July. The replacement will delay the launch of the NPP. The first power unit was supposed to start functioning in 2018.
