Piotr Martsau to be buried in the Eastern cemetery

According to Radio Svaboda, it was his colleagues from journalistic field, including those from private newspapers BDG, Imya, politicians, social activists and intellectuals who came to pay their last respects. There were a lot of red and white colors seen in the wreaths and bouquets. 

Martsau's relatives asked not to take pictures, there were no speeches at the tomb. When the coffin was being carried, some people began to sing a religious hymn God Almighty, others applauded as is customary at parting with creative thinkers. 

After the cremation, Martsau's ashes will be buried in the Eastern cemetery. 

It should be recalled that publisher of the independent press Piotr Martsau died at 52 from acute leukemia.
