Plane conducts emergency landing in Taiwan, 47 dead
The tragedy happened on Wednesday, July 23.
According to ВВС, the passenger airliner ATR-72 conducted an emergency landing at one of the Pénghú islands to the west from Taiwan. It had 54 passengers and 4 crew members aboard.
RIA Novosti informs that 47 people died. 11 people survived with numerous injuries. The plane belonged to the company TranssAsia Airways. It fell near the settlement of Husy and set two houses on fire.
According to preliminary information, the reason for the catastrophe is bad weather conditions.
