The grouping of Wagnerites in Belarus suspends the recruitment of new fighters. The announcement appeared in the open chat of Wagner PMC in Belarus on behalf of the chat administrator, the BBC noticed.
"Dear employees of the company, relatives of fighters and members of the chat room. Due to recent events, the recruitment of the company is temporarily suspended. To join the reserve, please contact the call center," the message said.
Most of Wagner PMC''s executives died in a plane crash on August 23, along with Yevgeny Prigozhin. After that, Russian media began to report that the Russian Defense Ministry was planning to take over the activities of this private company.
In Belarus, too, the Wagnerites have recently reduced their activities. In this regard, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that the complete closure of the borders with our country is losing relevance.
