Police raid journalist's apartment in Vitsebsk
The Police in Vitsebsk has raided the apartment of Siarhei Serabro, the editor of the web-based portal Vitsebsk People's News. According tonn.by, the landlord phoned Siarhei's wife in the afternoon and told her that she had been taken by the police from her working place in order to search the apartment. It is now not possible to reach the landlord as her mobile phone is switched off.
In the morning of January 13, Siarhei Serabro received a call from police investigator Aksana Muravitskaya who asked him to come for a copnversation about the picture of the white-red-white flag on the Christmas tree in Vitsebsk that was put by Siarhei Kavalenka on January 7.
The journalist told her that he would not show up without summons. Neither Siarhei nor his wife are present during the search.
