Political prisoner Andrei Kim transferred to prison in Babruisk
Political prisoner Andrei Kim has been transferred from pretrial detention in Minsk to Correctional Colony No 2 in Babruisk, eastern Belarus, reports Nasha Niva newspaper.
Kim, 22 was sentenced in April 2008 to 1.5 years in prison for allegedly beating up a traffic police officer on January 21 in Minsk. He was one of 14 activists tried for taking part in the January 10 protests of entrepreneurs.
Kim's lawyers filed an appeal on May 2, but it will be considered in June as the judge is off on vacations.
