Political prisoner M.Pashkevich is detained; he may be imprisoned on Monday
He may be imprisoned if the court returns him guilty of hooliganism. According to the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka, a political prisoner Mihail Pashkevich was detained on Saturday evening. He had already been punished according to the Case of 14 in spring.
Lyabedzka informed that a political meeting of the party took place on Saturday. Pashkevich is the member of the party and he was sent to the Central Election Commission as an observer. Mihail Pashkevich headed for the railway station after the meeting as he had an appointment there and was detained by the police.
“He just managed to phone us and say that he had been detained for some unknown reason and was being delivered to Kastrychnitsaky District Department of the Interior. I phoned there and they told me that Pashkevich was guilty of hooliganism. Mihail is in Akrestsina prison now, the trial will take place on Monday”, - informed Lyabedzka. He added that Mihail had been sentenced to the so-called “house imprisonment” which meant that Mihail could be imprisoned for real if the court returned him guilty of hooliganism.
