Presidential contenders comment upon Medvedev's statements about Lukashenka

BelaPAN has asked the presidential contenders to tell their opinions with regard to Russia's President Dmitri Medvedev's statements. Let us remind you, he sharply criticized the behaviour of Aliaksandr Lukashenka in his video-blog. According to Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, Medvedev's statements reveal his indignation with regard to Lukashenka's behaviour. This means, Lukashenka will not be supported by Russia at the elections, thinks Nyaklyaeu.

Andrej Sannikau is convinced Medvedev's words can be called a rather clear political statement with regard to the situation in Belarus. He underlined that Belarusian representatives had addressed the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs asking to help to investigate political disappearances in Belarus.

Both contenders claimed Russia would not help Lukashenka at the upcoming elections.
