Press Freedom Index: Belarus is 157th out of 188 states
According to Reporters Without Borders, our country is between Iraq and Egypt.
The international organization Reporters Without Borders has made its annual report on the freedom of speech for 2014. There are 188 countries on the list. Belarus is in the 157th position. Iraq is ahead of Belarus and Egypt follows it.
Poland is in the 18th position, Latvia – 28th, Lithuania – 31st, Ukraine – 129th, Russia – 152nd.
The top -5 consists of Finland, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden.
