Protestant priest fined
Judge Leanid Jasinovic on May 28 fined Antoni Bokun, the pastor of a Minsk-based protestant church, with 20 base rates ($330) for having served an unauthororized prayer. The pastor siad he was linking his detention with the situation around his fellow church priest, a Polish citizen named Jaraslau Lukasisk.
Lukasik and Bokun were arrested on May 27 after a prayer served in the pastor's private house. Bokun had to spend a night at the notorious police custody on Okrestina Street in Minsk.
Lukasik was released after the arrival of the Polish diplomats. He is ordered to leave Belarus before June 7 on charges of "doing harm to Belarus's national security in the sphere of religious relations", reports the Belapan news agency.
