Public transport services ask to increase fare by 12% in 2015 (video)
The expenses for fuel and energy have increased.
Minsk public transport services have asked the Ministry of Economy to increase the fare by 10-12% in 2015. The sum is equivalent to 5000 roubles now. The increase is needed because the expenses for electricity have increased by 43% and for fuel – by 20%.
Director of the enterprise Capital Transport and Communications Valery Shkuratau told Belarus 1:
“Carriers have to ask to increase the tariffs and we have asked the Ministry of Economy for it. We are planning to increase the fare by up to 10-12% this year.”
The fare was increased in Minsk in mid-December 2014 last time (it happened trice last year). A ticket costs 4500 roubles now.
