Alyaksandr Lukashenka: We keep people by force
The state leader has commented on his woodworking industry decree.
Lukashenka made the statement during his visit to "Mahilyoudreu" on December 13.
"Yes, we are keeping people here by force. Why? They have failed their task and caused losses, if you like," interfax.by quotes the state leader. He has demanded to provide the workers with$ 450-500 wages in the first quarter of the next year: "If we keep people by force, we need to give them "a candy".
Lukashenka also claimed that additional money would be spent on the modernization of the industry. They will be taken away from a number of other state programmers, for instance, culture and sport.
The state leader's recent decree has actually forbidden workers of woodworking enterprises to quit their jobs while their enterprises are being modernised.
