HR defender and lawyer of the year awarded in Minsk
Representatives of Belarusian human rights organizations summarized the results of the year 2012 this Monday.
They
awarded the best among their colleagues, the best journalist who covered human
rights issues, and the best lawyer.
Andrzej Poczobut from Hrodna (in the photo), who is under criminal persecution now,
became the journalist of the year. Alina Shostak and Alvina Dryho, who defended
Young Front activists in courts, were called lawyers of the year.
