Journalist Grazyna Szalkiewicz fined in Hrodna
She was punished for "participation in a non-sanctioned event".
According to the decision of the Lenin district court, Grazyna Szalkiewicz should pay the fine for the sum of Br 5 million.
Let us remind you, on June 1 there was a picket in defense of the Polish school No. 36 where it is planned to form the Russian language groups, near the office of Hrodna regional executive committee. The authorities did not give permit for the action and the police detained 21 people. One of them, Ihar Bantsar, got 13 days of detention. Other detainees expected their trials to take place on June 4 but the trials were postponed.
Cases of seven more people will be considered on Wednesday as well.
