“You cannot lose an MP," Lukashenka said during the final meeting of the Parliament. He promised to find jobs for everyone. Euroradio has checked where ex-MPs work now and whether it corresponds to their "reliability, professionalism and parliamentary experience".

Uladzimir Zdanovich arrived at the Oval Hall from Drahichyn where he was the headmaster of a grammars school 12 years ago. He has managed to build a flat in Minsk but has not found a good job after his parliamentary career was over.

Uladzimir Zdanovich: “I am a 1/4 time teacher in the Republican Institute of Higher Education. I have a lot of free time and I am writing articles for educational magazines, I give lectures and take part in educational seminars. However, I am going to look for a more lucrative job because the money I am getting now is not enough. I need to find something stable."

MP Valyantsina Luzina has refused from placement assistance. However, she received a phone call from her former job place - Ashmyany District Executive Committee.

Valyantsina Luzina: “The head of the Executive Committee has offered me a job twice. He said: "Valyanstina Mihailauna, you will not be able to sit at home doing nothing!" And I replied: "I will try because I have never done it before."

She assured Euroradio that she would help develop tourism in Ashmyany District.

Ex-head of Homel District Executive Committee Uladzimir Mayorau has exchanged the Oval House for... the position of the director of the Veterans of War and Labour and Invalids House. And he is totally satisfied with it.

Uladzimir Mayorau: “I like it! Moreover, I like people, I have a kind heart!"

Ex-deputy head of Mahilyou Province Executive Committee Anatol Hlaz has not returned there either. He has become director of "Belarusian State Insurance" in Mahilyou Province. Being an economist and specialist in agriculture, he assured that he "has found his vocation".

Anatol Hlaz: “I like this work, it is very creative. There are a lot of opportunities for introducing new insurance services. This market is one of the most rapidly developing markets nowadays."

Aleh Vyalichka left the position of the chief physician of Brest City Emergency Hospital eight years ago and arrived at the Oval Hall. He has returned to almost the same position now.

Aleh Vyalichka: "I left the Parliament on October 18 and got down to work as the chief physician of Brest Central City Hospital on October 22."

All MPs claim that they were happy to bid farewell to the capital and are glad about their positions. Except for Zdanovich.
