Sviatlana Baikova sentenced to two years of hard labour
The former investigator of the General prosecutor's office has been convicted under just one of the five accusations.
According to nn.by, the former investigator for especially significant issues of the general prosecutor's office has been sentenced to 2 years of forcible hard labour without sending to a specialized facility by the Supreme Court. The time which she spent in custody in the pre-trial detention center has been included thereof. Thus, she is to spend 6 more months in custody.

Let us remind you, Sviatlana Baikova investigated notorious corruption cases, for example, on bribery and contraband at the customs point "Eastern Bug". Later she was accused in malicious misuse of her position, illegal detentions and other crimes. Baikova was imprisoned in the KGB pre-trial detention center in February 2011. 6 months later she was transferred under the house arrest.
