Tatstsyana Novikava released from Akrestsina

Activist of the Belarusian anti-nuclear campaign Tatstsyana Novikava and another activist of the anti-nuclear campaign, Russian citizen Andrei Azharovski, were detained on the morning of July 18. They had been going to bring an appeal not to sign the NPP construction contract to the Russian Embassy. The action was dated for the visit of Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev to Minsk, informs BelaPAN.
Their whereabouts were unknown for the whole day and information about the fact that Novikava and Azharovski had been sentenced to 5 and 10 days of arrest respectively for petty hooliganism by Moscow District Court appeared only in the evening.
