Venezuelan opposition: Chavez presented $2768383000 to Lukashenka

Euroradio has found out what Venezuelan, Cuban and Ecuadorian journalists write about Lukashenka's Latin American tour.
The report presented by the official Cuban press is dull and lacks details - they mentioned the turnout of 50 million dollars and the fields of cooperation. Traditionally, the rhetoric of the meeting was anti-American.
“Cuban President Raul Castro has claimed that attempts of anti-state coups returned to Latin America not long ago but were not successful. He meant the recent attempt to overthrow the President of Paraguay", - informs Cuba Debate.
Opposition Cuban websites quote the words of opposition member Payá Sardiñas about the fact that the Belarusian President should not have visited Cuba and must stop repressions in his country.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka's visit to Venezuela attracted much more attention of state and independent mass media. The visit was paid in the pre-election period and was subjected to criticism by opposition candidate Capriles.
"Hugo Chavez has presented $ 2.768.383З to Belarus since 2005. Our country could have built 500 elementary schools or 118 thousand houses with the money", - informs the news portal NoticiasClic quoting the presidnetail candidate's Twitter.

Venezuela should not make friends with repressive states only because of Chavez' ideological proximity with their leaders, thinks Capriles' election team. The official Venezuelan press does not pay attention to the remarks and stresses the achievements of the friendship with Belarus. The creation of a truck plant in the state of Barinas is one of the main of them.
The fact that Lukashenka used Chavez' plane to visit another Latin American state, Ecuador, has also produced rumours.
"Although Alyaksandr Lukashenka arrived in the country on his gigantic plane, Hugo Chavez' generosity and ability to use the national wealth led to the fact that his official Boeing 737 was used for Lukashenka's official visit to Quito - a fine gesture of the poorest inhabitants of Venezuela", - mocks the popular Latin American website La patilla.
The same website posted a picture of Lukashenka's son Mikalai taken at the meeting with Chavez and came to the conclusion that he had a toy revolver under his jacket.

The Ecuadorian press was more reserved when it came to Lukashenka's visit. The official newspaper El ciudadano describes Lukashenka's meeting with the President of Ecuador in the Soviet style:
"Lukashenka greets the leader of Ecuador, shakes his hand and appears on the presidential balcony to greet Ecuadorians. Children, teenagers, adults, men and women are in Independence Square. You can hear exclamations of support and see Belarusian and Ecuadorian flags hoisted together".

The popular Ecuadorian website Hoy.com writes that the main sphere of interest here is defence - "Belarus promises to present military technologies to Ecuador".
The Ecuadorian press was more focused on the fact that founder of Wikileaks Julian Assange had asked Ecuador for political asylum. Being afraid of possible extradition to Sweden, he is hiding in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London now.
