"Right Alliance" may lose registration

A non-governmental organization “Right Alliance” has been summoned to Minsk Economic Court. The head of the main justice department of Minsk City Executive Committee Dzmitry Antanevich has filed an action. The trial will begin on September 15 at 12.40 p.m.

The organization is accused of the fact that its activities do not correspond to its statute. The leader of the organization Yury Karetnikau has informed ERB about it.

Karetnikau: "I think this “attack” against our organization may be connected with two things. The first one is the beginning of the presidential campaign when the authorities try to suppress and limit any civil groups and initiatives. The second version is a certain independence of Minsk officials who are irritated by our activities in the struggle against the availability of poppy-seeds contaminated with opium in Minsk. We will most likely lose our registration”.

According to the statute, “Right Alliance” distributes non-commercial information and supports the youth in the field of education, business, sport and tourism.
