Runaway director to be returned to Belarus from Uzbekistan through Ukraine
A former director of Babruisk hydrolytic plant will be extradited to Belarus. He fled from his trial in 2004 and was announced wanted.
Mahileu Region Court sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment for a theft committed due to power abuse, swindle and negligence in his absence.
The fugitive has been found in Uzbekistan recently and the Office of General Prosecutor of this country has decided to extradite the Belarusian home. He will be delivered to Ukraine and then – to Belarus. BelaPAN notes that a permission of the Ukrainian authorities to transit the detained is being expected now.
