Russia bans supply of products from a number of Belarusian companies
Ban will take effect on Monday, 24 November.
On November 24, Russia will stop the delivery of products from a number of Belarusian enterprises.
According to interfax.by citing Rosselhoznadzor, the ban will cover products of Inco-Food, Servolux, Dzarzhinsky agricultural complex, Smalyavichy broiler factory, Babulina krynka (Grandma's Jug), Bialavezhsky delikates (Belavezha delicacy), Byarozausky, Brest and Homel meat processing plants.
According to Russian experts, the reason for the ban is the dangerous substances and microbial contamination found in the products. In particular, it is Listeria, Salmonella, antibiotics of the tetracycline group.
Rosselkhoznadzor said that the ban is a necessary measure. According to the Russian side, a month ago they even sent a request to Belarus to eliminate the violations, but this was not done. The production of Inco-Food alone this year was caught violating the norms almost 30 times.
