Russia expects agreement on free trade zone in CIS to be accepted this year
The senior deputy of the Commonwealth Executive Committee Uladzimir Harkun has informed about it at a press conference in Minsk today, on March 19. The project of the agreement about the CIS free trade zone has been prepared by Russia and sent to other CIS member states. Harkun: The project was launched last year. The concept of the document was presented then. Work groups gathered a few times to elaborate the project last year. The work continues this year too. We have gathered the member states and we are studying the project thoroughly. We work on it more and more times. We send it to other states and they send it back. At the moment it is being studied by other states again”.
Harkun has also noted that there was a great desire to organize the free trade zone and that new forms and means of cooperation had to be found for it.
