Russia may settle dispute about oil customs with Belarus
Russia does not exclude the possibility of settling the dispute about oil customs with Belarus during the negotiations about the fuel-energy balance for the next year. The deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Vasilii Lihachyov claimed it after a meeting of the CIS Economic Court collegium in Minsk on October 8. According to Lihachyov, there is a possibility that the decision will be taken. At the same time he stressed that if a compromise were reached, Belarus would have to withdraw its claim from the CIS Economic Court.
Lihachyov also noted that they had managed to avoid politicalization and the influence of external factors on the process during the meeting of the CIS Economic Court collegium on October 7 and 8, reports BelaPAN.
