Russia to pay 7 million dollars for breach in pipe-line in Vitsebsk Region
A Russian enterprise “Zapad-Transnefteproduct” will pay for the damage done to Belarus. The sum of the compensation is a record for out country – 15 billion rubles, reports ONT. Let us remind you that diesel oil leaked from the pipe-line Unecha-Ventspils in Beshankovichy District on March 23. The oil got to the rivers Unecha and West Dzvina though the melioration system.
Belarusian ecologists assessed the damage for 13 billion 206 million rubles. However, the owner of the pipe-line “Zapad-Transnefteproduct” has only paid 1.5 billions. Ecologists had to send a complaint to the court.
The court admitted that their demands had to be satisfied. As a result, Russians will have to pay 15 billion rubles during a year.
