Russia wants to get control stock of “Beltransgaz”
The Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov has informed about Russia’s interest in getting the control stock of the Belarusian company “Beltransgaz”. “Interfax” reminds that Russia has already paid for 50% of shares of “Beltransgaz”.
According to the Russian diplomat, Belarus has to respect the Russian legislation according to which “Gazprom” will be a special importer of gas in the Customs Union.
Surikov noted that he saw nothing bad in the fact that “Gazprom” would become a monopolist of gas supplies. According to him, there is always a possibility of price collusion and other kinds of abuse when there are a lot of exporters.
