Santander urged not to discriminate against Belarusians

An online petition has appeared asking Santander Bank not to discriminate against Belarusian citizens in Poland. More than 1,000 people have already signed it, and it will be sent to Santander and the Financial Supervisory Commission.
Belarusians living in Poland have faced the blocking of access to online banking and the Santander banking application and the freezing of accounts. The bank explained this with an "internal document" and new rules. The restrictions apply to Belarusians who have not yet obtained a residence permit or whose permit expires in less than a year.
Bank Santander was popular among Belarusian refugees because of the minimal documents required to open an account: a passport with a visa and a PESEL tax number.
