Seven "BATE" fans sentenced to three days of detention
Moldovan riot police detained 15 Belarusian football fans during the football match between "BATE" and "Sheriff" in Tiraspol on October 21. On October 22 seven people were sentenced to three days of administrative detention each for petty hooliganism. All the rest were fined for 100 transdniestrian roubles (about 10 dollars) each.
"Komsomolskaya Pravda" reminds that after Siarhej Sasnouski had scored a goal at the 8th minute, Belarusian fans lighted a fire at the guest sector. A fight between the fans and riot police started. According to the fans, there first was a fight between the white-red-white and the red-green fan groups. They said, Moldovan riot police had taken the red-green side. 15 Belarusians were led out of the stadium and spent a night in the police department of Tiraspol.
