Shushkevіch accuses opposition of inactivity and himself – of feebleness

Stanislau Shushkevich has given an interview to “Metro” and urged all Polish and EU politicians to take severe measures directed at Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s regime. At the same time Shushkevich accused the opposition of idleness and himself – of feebleness: “The majority of the opposition do nothing and some people find it advantageous to remain in the opposition. You do not have to bear the responsibility of ruling the country; you only have to blame the dictatorship and travel across Europe. The paradox is in the fact that the people who present themselves as the legal opposition simply legalize the dictatorship. In the end, what kind of dictatorship is it if it allows its opponents to act and to go abroad? I would like to urge Europe to oppose to Lukashenka but I can do very little myself”.
