Skrypka vows to win Mikhalok
The project, titled “Full Contact”, will bring together the two bands. Oleg Skrypka said recently that he was confident that his band would win, because his on-stage experience is much greater than the one of Lyapis Trubetskoy. Here is what Siarhej Mikhalok had to say in respond.
“I think the winner will be the band that will bring better dancers. We are taking along 30 Hungarian porno stars. All of the girls are former gymnastics athletes and do not fear to dance naked.
So when we talk about the modern pop culture, our porno stars will be more gracious and attractive for the modern fans than the dances of my dancing idol Oleg Skrypka.
Besides, we are likely to take a handicap girl that we know. She plays harp at the railway station. She will join us for our “Khare” song performance, and maybe they will feel pity for us because of that,” Mikhalok said.
We are aware that Siarhej Mikhalok and Oleg Skrypka are old friends. Yet, they will have to forget about it for the time of the program, because the motto of the Full Contact is “Friendship Will Not Win! The Best Will Win!” We also asked Siarhej if the musicians liked this motto and whether they were set to make a joint project with Vopli Vidopliasova behind the battle on MTV Russia.
“I think that everything that is linked with fights and hit-parades on MTV, this is kind of a game. I am confident that Skrypka pronounced his words as a joke, not seriously. At the same time, I do not fear anyone. So if they regard us as a young band in this tandem, this is even better.
Oleg supports our movement titled “The Children of the Sun”. But such a brilliant artiste like Skrypka has no need for joint projects. “Dances with Stars”, duo projects and singing in choirs are required by pop musicians, who resort to surprise PR acts to maintain interest towards themselves.
In fact, there are many artistes who surprise and attract many fans because of their individuality,” Mikhalok said.
We asked immediately if Mikhalok would agree to take part in a program like “Rock Stars at the Boxing Ring”.
“It is no secret that I have done different martial arts for many years. Other pop and rock stars are mainly dissolute people. I am a straight ager, so I have nothing to fear,” he said.
On May 12, right after the battle, Skrypka will stage a festival titled “Rock Festival at a Farm Near the Kremlin or Those Were Our Days”. At the festival, Vopli Vidopliasova will launch their new album “Buli Denki”, which sold more copies for the first month than their previous CD gathered for four years.
