Slutsk rebellion heroes commemorated today

The Heroes' Day, or the anniversary of Slutsk rebellion - is marked on November 27. 90 years ago the Slutskers organized an armed rebellion against establishment of the Soviet authority at their territory, to preserve the independent Belarusian People's Republic. The fights between the rebels and the Bolsheviks started on November 27, 1920. A trip around the territory of the Slutsk rebellion will take place today, ending with a meeting. It is organized by the BPF party, the movement "For Freedom!" and the solidarity movement "Razam". The route traditionally  includes Hrozava, Semezhava and Vyzna, where the Slutsk rebels were commemorated by installing crosses, in the 90s. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. in Slutsk.
