Special commission specifies Belarusian KGB functions
A special commission has been created in the Belarusian Security council. It specifies the functions of KGB as a law-enforcement organization. The head of the Committee MG Yury Zhadobin informed Alyaksandr Lukashenka about it.
According to him, KGB concentrates on providing security of the sate and carries out law-enforcement functions. Zhadobin thinks that “it is very important that the spheres of responsibility of all the interested organizations should be clearly defined”.
In his turn, Alyaksandr Lukashenka demanded that KGB should investigate serious economic crimes instead of “trifles”. “Check “the high ranks”, - advised the leader of the state.
Let us note that Lukashenka has introduced new deputies of the head of KGB and a number of heads of departments of the organization today.
