Split in pro-democracy forces in Homel region
The regional structures of the Movement for Freedom, Popular Front and the Assembly of NGOs in the Homel region have declared their withdrawal from the local coalition of pro-democracy forces. The regional coalition has launched a permanent agitation and "this does not confront with the goal and plans of many subjects", reports Belapan quoting Piotr Kuzniatsou, the coordinator of the Movement for Freedom in the Homel region. Representatives of the Belarusian leftist party Fair World call not to work for the elections in the region, because "politicians are unable to agree in Minsk". He describes such actions as destructive and explains that the Movement for Freedom cannot remain in the coalition in this situation.
Kuzniatsou stressed that the lack of flexibility in the United Pro-Democracy Forces has been the cause of the split in the Homel region.
