Around 7:30, on February 3, there was a conflict between tax inspectors and entrepreneurs at the Southern market of Grodna. According to eyewitness reports published on the site 015.by, about 300-400 people took part in the protests.
The conflict arose when the tax authorities suddenly started to check an entrepreneur who sells jeans. After they found violations, tax services began to confiscate goods. The entrepreneurs who were present began to rally and loudly express their indignation.
The police arrived at the scene. In response, entrepreneurs demanded that the police arrested the tax inspectors. According to some reports, the entrepreneurs were outraged by the fact that inspectors refused to show the tax precept.
Around 10:20, police detained the businessman who was the reason for the conflict. After that, people began to disperse.
According to rumors, the violations were found not in the sale of jeans but jackets: the entrepreneur was not able to show documents of their purchase.
