State Commission investigates origin of mass graves near Homel

Materials of excavations to the south of Homel will be studied by a special state commission. It has been created by Homel District Executive Committee. Let us remind you that the search battalion of the Ministry of Defense found the remains of 66 people. There was an idea that the people were victims of fascists. But local civil activists found witnesses who said that it was the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs that shot people in the forest near Homel before the war.

There were not only Belarusians, but Ukrainians too. Specialists from different institutions will participate in the work of the special state commission.
