Strangers attack Ramanchuk’s signature collector in Minsk
Strangers have attacked Uladzislau Zvernuk who was collecting signatures in support of the UCP representative near a supermarket in Suharauskaya Street in Minsk. Two young men in dark clothes tried to steal a document case with signatures in support of a Belarusian presidential contender Yaraslau Ramanchuk from him. According to the UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka, passers-by tried to protect the signature collector:
Lyabedzka: "They managed to protect the signatures but the attackers grabbed the certificate of an initiative group member Zvernik Uladzimir Ivanavich. People created uproar and they just fled…”
According to Lyabedzka, it was the first time a member of an initiative group had been attacked. The UCP leader could not specify whether the attackers were instigators or mere hooligans.
