Super marathon starts near Lake Narach today
A 100-km marathon started near the “Belaya Rus” health centre on Lake Narach at 5 a.m. on May 4.
More than one hundred people are taking part in it. The Minister of Internal Affairs Uladzimir Navumau (the initiator of the marathon) the head of the Home Front Department of the Ministry of Internal Affaires Victar Mlynarou and members of the department for prevention of terrorism “Diamond”, the Department of Interior of Minsk City Executive Committee and of Myadzel District Executive Committee and amateurs of walking are among them. The marathon is organized to advertise the healthy life-style.
U.Navumau claimed he was not going to set any records but informed that he was going to walk from Brest to Minsk in 5 days – this is more than 300 kilometres.
Participants of the super marathon dated for the Year of Health have already walked more than 37 kilometers. About 30 people are continuing it at the moment.
