Supreme Court dismisses Ihar Lohvinau’s appeal
The publisher wanted to appeal the decision of the Ministry of Information to refuse to register him as a distributor of printed editions.
Ihar Lohvinau was hoping to appeal one of the six refusals of the Ministry of Information to give him a licence for the distribution of printed editions. Ihar Lohvinau is unlikely to try appealing the decision of the Supreme Court, he told Euroradio.
The publishing house Lohvinau was fined for almost a billion roubles for illegal book trade as a result of numerous registration refusals. The company may be closed down now and Ihar Lohvinau has launched a fundraising campaign to pay the fine.
