Sweden's foreign ministry official visits Belarus

Bo Emthen, the Director of Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department at the Swedish Foreign Ministry, paid a familiarization visit to Belarus on October 18-19. He is charge of trade and economic issues.
During the visit, the Swedish high-ranking diplomat was mainly interested in the economic conditions, especially the free economic zones in Belarus, reports Belapan.

Enthem stated that his visit aimed to prepare ground for a possible visit by Swedish business people to Belarus. Besides, he was looking into the perspective of the opening the Swedish Embassy in Minsk which has been delayed by financial constraints.
