Three people detained in connection with blast in Minsk are let off
Syarhei Vysotskі, Pavel Kuryanovіch and Alyaksandr Serhіenka detained on July 10 in connection with the explosion case have managed to prove their alibi and have been let off after giving a written undertaking not to leave Belarus.
Radio Liberty reports that three people detained in connection with the explosion that took place in Minsk on July 4, namely Syarhei Vysotskі, Pavel Kuryanovіch and Alyaksandr Serhіenka, were released from KGB confinement cell having given a written undertaking not to leave Belarus on Saturday evening.
Syarhei Vysotskі said that he had been detained on July 10, right after a search in his flat. Syarhei was suspected of villainous hooliganism. “Americana” guards peeked into his confinement every 5 minutes and called him “a terrorist” in their talks, said Vysotski. The former head of the Belarusian Party of Freedom managed to prove his alibi after a few interrogations.
According to Vysotski, Alyaksandr Serhienka, a leader of the youth affiliate of the UCP “Young Democrats”, was released together with him.
An activist of the movement “European Belarus” Pavel Kuryanovich detained by KGB on July 10 in connection with the explosion was also released yesterday.
