US undecided over Syria attack
U.S. President Barack Obama is yet to take a decision on the military operation in Syria.
According to Obama, the Ministry of Defense prepared several variants of the military operation regarding Syria. However, the decision on which actions to undertake has not been taken yet, informs Reuters.
Obama says, the aim of the "limited and strictly targeted operation" is to prevent further chemical attacks against the peaceful population of Syria. It may also give a positive impact on the national security of the United States. In the opinion of the U.S. President, the USA may conduct a short-term military operation which will not cause a long-term armed conflict or repeat the Iraq campaign.
