Vatican's secretary of state Tarcisio Bertone plans to visit Belarus

Belarus has drafted an agreement on cooperation between the Belarus government and Vatican. Leanid Huliaka, Belarus' minister for religions and nationalities, said that the document had been developed in line with the effective agreement between Belarus and the Russian Orthodox Church on cooperation in the field of science, culture, archives and libraries.
Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican's Secretary of State, plans to visit Belarus in connection with the drafted document, but the dates of the visit are yet to be known.

Huliaka noted that "the visit of Cardinal Bertone will possibly follow up on Belarus president Alexander Lukashenka's statement about making Belarus as a possible meeting point for Pope Benedict XVI and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia", reports Belapan
