Victar Kalina’s wife to have audience with head ideologist
The wife of a well-known Russian chanson singer Victor Kalina will meet the head of the ideological department of the President’s administration Aleh Pralyasouski. Svyatlana Kalina told journalists about it at a press-conference that took place in Victar Kalina’s flat on Friday.
According to Svyatlana, Mr. Pralyasouski has not been receiving anyone for a week. Friends helped her organize the meeting with the official. Svyatlana Kalina is going to tell the head ideologist about the case of her husband. She will try to explain Aleh Vitoldavich that she and her husband are not guilty of the crime they are accused of.
Let us remind you that Victar and Svyatlana Kalina are accused of fraud connected with getting an illegal insurance payment for their car. Their case will be considered at Pershamaiski District Court of Minsk on May 29.
According to Svyatlana, Victar Kalina may be imprisoned for 7.5 years – two thirds of the maximum term that can be assigned according to part 4 of art. 209 of the Criminal Code of Belarus. The singer is being kept at the confinement cell in Valadarskaha Street in Minsk. His wife was released on bail. She is also threatened with 3-10 years of imprisonment.
Trying to escape from the imprisonment Svyatlana and Victar Kalina sent appeals to the General Prosecutor of Belarus Pyotr Miklashevich, the Minister of Justice Victar Halavanau, and turned to Alyaksandr Lukashenka several times. The cover of Victar Kalina’s dvd “Concert in remembrance of Mihail Krug among friends” presented to the press on May 25 contains a quotation of a Russian chanson singer Alyaksandr Dzuimin “Take care of Dad, he is the only one!”
