Vigil begins in Kurapaty
The column of people that are taking part in a rally to commemorate the victims of Stalin's repressions has reached Kurapaty, the site of mass executions in the suburbs of Minsk to hold a vigil. At the site in front of the restored Cross of Sufferings, people are singing the Mahutny Bozha (Allmighty God) Belarusian religious song and praying. 20 new crosses will be installed in Kurapaty today, reports Radio Svaboda.
The action is organized by the Conservative-Christian Party of the Belarusian Popular Front and authorized by the Minsk city authorities.
